Xtreme Zero Waste Update – May 8, 2020

The Xtreme Zero Waste team would like to extend a big big thank you to the Raglan community for all the support in stockpiling recyclables at home, reducing and reusing throughout the lockdown.

Kerbside collection will continue Wednesday & Friday for foodwaste green bins and pre paid rubbish bags.

There will be no recycling pick ups for kerbside or rural pop ups – we thank you for all your sorting so far!

Our skip bin service has been skipping along! We have been inundated with requests and doing our best to reply, confirm and deliver so thank you for everyone’s continued patience with this service, we hope to get all requests completed next week.

We will advise any further updates about our site and services next week after we hear the government’s announcements.

Level 3 has meant that we can return to normal with our contactless skip bin service. These have been pretty popular, so please phone the office (07 825 6509), leave a message to book yours and we thank you for your patience. If you’re relishing in this extra garden time, we can deliver bulk carbon compost to your yard for $50 per cubic metre.

We’ve had loads of phone calls and messages asking if our site is open, and we love that Kahu’s Nest has so many fans! But for the safety of our team and the wider community, our shop and site will remain closed until level 2 of lockdown. This also means we are not accepting any drop offs, including green waste.

Please stay tuned to our socials for frequent updates: @xtremezerowaste on FB and IG and we thank Raglan Community Radio, Raglan Chronicle & Raglan App for always sharing our information and updates with the community.

Thanks again for all your awesome stock piling, washing, squashing and waving out to our crew around town!
