Matariki ki Whāingaroa!

Raglan Naturally is collaborating with local organisations to organise a community event celebrating Matariki and sharing and connecting with others in the community.

Matariki is now an official holiday and it carries the traditional cultural values that Māori have observed prior to arriving in Aotearoa, through to the present day.
This time of year is symbolic. It is a time to remember loved ones who have passed away. It is also about giving back to our environment and being grateful for all that we have, especially relevant in Whaingaroa.
Also related is food gathered during this time from nature’s food bowl to share with everyone. Importantly, it is a time to be with our whānau and friends, during which we are sharing our plans for our future. For more information visit:
